HOW TO INSTALL NEW WIPER BLADES
1 of 9
Assess wiper blade performance
If your wiper blades streak or squeak, wipe down the blades — you may be able to skip a replacement with a good cleaning. If squeaking or streaking persist, it’s time to replace your wiper blades.
2 of 9
Raise the wiper arms
Pull arms into the full upright position for easier access.
3 of 9
Remove the old wiper blades
Release the tabs on the old wiper blade under the wiper arm hook and then pull the wiper blade rearward from the hook.
4 of 9
Keep the windshield protected
Once the wiper blade arms are off, keep them off your windshield to avoid any potential damage.
5 of 9
Prep the new wiper blades
Remove the new blades from the plastic protectors.
6 of 9
Install the new wiper blades
Push the wiper blade connector into the wiper arm hook until it locks into place with a click. Repeat the same process for each new wiper blade.
7 of 9
Lower the wiper arms
If you lifted the wiper blades up in step 3, gently lower them back onto the windshield with the wiper blades attached. Make sure each one is straight and aligned with the windshield.
8 of 9
Repeat for each wiper blade
Follow these steps for each wiper blade that needs to be replaced.
9 of 9
Test the new wiper blades
Test all new wiper blades with wiper solvent at various speeds. Adjust their position if you notice streaking or squeaking.
